Since moving to West Northamptonshire with my family in 2006 I have jumped straight into village life.
As a local candidate, I have a real stake in our community and already understand the challenges we face because what affects you, also affects me and my family too. I was delighted to be elected as a District Councillor for the Woodford Ward in May 2018 and In August 2019 was privileged to be asked to represent local Conservatives on the cross-party Climate Change task.
In a press release at the time I said: "In Daventry District, we must take action. There are lots of things we can do, such as making homes more energy efficient, promoting solar energy, and encouraging the use of electric vehicles, as well as planting more trees".
When the new unitary was formed in April 2021, I become one of three councillors in the newly formed Woodford & Weedon ward and have since worked hard on the issues that matter to us all. These include roads, medical facilities and local development as part of my role on the Planning Committee.
I work alongside fellow ward councillors David Smith and Jo Gilford and also sit on the Corporate Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Please contact me anytime at [email protected] or on 07713 642308.
