I have been involved in local politics for 42 years, initially on the Parish Council and eventually chairing it for ten years. In 2011 I was elected as a District Councillor at the former South Northants Council and became Deputy Leader for six years. In 2021 I was elected to West Northants Unitary Council.
I have lived here all my life and love the area and am keen to preserve it. I grew up in Greens Norton and went to Salford University where I graduated in Electronics. I started my career in engineering but moved onto technical sales until my retirement, during this time I developed strong interpersonal skills. I enjoy working with residents to ensure they get the best service from the Unitary Council.
My particular interest is planning and am currently Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. I am keen that development is sympathetic to this area and benefits the residents. I very much enjoy Local Government and I am keen to continue representing the views of the residents of our local villages and helping maintain the area we currently live in.
