Due to the nationwide concern of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has decided to postpone all local and mayoral elections across the UK. Downing Street said it would be impractical to hold the elections as planned, as they would come during the peak of the spread of the virus. All elections in the UK will be delayed until May 2021.
